Pakistani movies are actually quite "sexy"

Pakistani movies are actually quite …, well, “sexy”

January 11, 2006

Talking about films with the locals is always interesting, because I believe that films are also part of the culture. The satelitte dish in my hotel restaurant is broken, so for a temporary moment we have to say good bye to Raj and Rani (lit. means king and queen, a typical of Indian movies where the hero is named Raj and heroine Rani and they both will be married) from the TV series of Vuh Rahnewali Mehlon Ki. But quiet life is unimaginable in this house, that the guys then rented a VCD player to fill up the emptiness due to the absence of the TV programs.

They only had one very old (of 1960’s) VCD of an Indian woman singing all the way with super high voice. The movie itself is black and white, and soon they got bored. They asked whether I had some interesting VCDs. I brought mostly DVDs with me, but yes, I have some VCDs.

First I played Inul. This Indonesian diva with her famous pumping butt, indeed was a stimulus to these hungry men. Everybody was excited to see the sexy butt of this Indonesian muslim girl (not to be compared with Pakistani muslim girls). Inul is a very sensational Indonesian grass root singer, with quite a plain voice she could attract so much attention in the country. It was mostly because of her sexy dance which extrapolate her butt, and due to the sympathy to this poor girl after the ulemas of Indonesia gave her so much protest of being exposing herself. And of course, for Pakistanis Inul was very interesting. But then the guys look like disappointed, as Inul didnt change her costumes in 12 songs in the VCD. I am sure it was because of the cencorship to fulfill the protests from the ulemas so that similar captions have to be replayed and replayed.

The second VCD was Indian Night Love Songs, I bought in Nepal. When I watched in India I just felt normal, it was not night songs at all for me, as the scene of sexy girls and sexy boys were just common. But after being ‘in drought’ in Pakistan, the videoclips of the songs were quite arousing for me also. Just an example, a clip from Abishek Bacchan, waking up and seeing a sexy girl in his room, and asking for further game. “koi nahin hai kamre man… ham kam karenge kal” (there is nobody else in the room…, so let’s do something), and the clip continued by games of this couple (the girl was wearing super duper short trousers and very tight bra only, and the boy was a kind of Indian Greek God). Another videoclip of a Bollywood movie with quite straighforward sex scene (would be rated as XXX) was also breathtraking. The hero is the famous hero from the famous new movie of Aashiq Banaya, which is indeed a Greek God. The heroine I dont know who, but seems very famous also, from the comments of the Pakistani audience in the restaurant.

The young Pakistanis in the room were all excited. And in a discussion about ‘openness’ they said that Pakistan is also open. This going to be a janat (heaven) instead of saying that the nude girls as jahanam (evil).
“Yes, Pakistan is open now, and will be more and more open.”
“I am sure that Iran will be open first, then after Iran, Pakistan will be much open.”
And the secret sex stories of the guys with foreign female tourists were also interesting, even though I am not 100% believing.

Only Old Haider doesnt love the scene at all. The women with big breasts dont interest him at all. “Jahaman“, as what he said.

Sexy girls…. janat or jahanam?
